Thank you and yes, do I know this feeling of staring at the screen unable to think and write after stumbling upon something that should belong on Kafka’s or Kharms’ pages, at best. How many times I swore to stay cool and “observe, not absorb” — and failed. It is especially mind-blowing in the case of artists I had had respect for.

As for his views: I watched some of his Netflix documentaries on the US history and as challenging and detailed as they were, and, for the most part, perhaps, true, I sensed something lurking behind the narrative: this recognizable conspiracy theories’ rotten smell, ever so slight, yet present. So I was not shocked to read his article — just sad. Another one bites the dust.

All good points you have, and I also find it very hard to stay optimistic. Well, there is always inner immigration. Been there.
